First Official Blog Post at Fleur Technologies
Hi! My name is Sawyer Cutler and I am the Owner at Fleur Technologies. If you are reading this I want to thank you for taking the time to checkout the new blog. This blog is an exciting addition to the website and the business for a lot of reasons. The main reason being it gives me a chance to engage more with you. The second best reason is that I get to give back to small business owners in way of advice, experiences, and ideas. In addition, I am thinking about putting out some tutorials for developers that go past "Hello World" and actually give them some help on building a website, a cool CSS animation, or even using CSS Flex-box or CSS Grid in an actual website or project instead of just moving boxes around the screen. To get an idea for what I mean -- imagine that you are taking a math class. You're reading the formula over and over and over trying to memorize it, but without every actually applying it to a problem. Next week you go to take a test and you realize you don't know how to use the formula at all. This is counter productive because it wastes developer time and kills confidence as well.
If you're an avid reader then you know that amazing stories, guides, and tips come out on all sorts of platforms all over everyday. I don't envision Fleur's blog to become a Hacker Newsletter or a HubSpot blog, however, I do believe that I can help a lot of people. My second post is going to be about sales, marketing, and why building trust is the most important thing. You could have the greatest product in the world, but building trust is what keeps new buyers and users coming in. At the same time, a lack of trust will often result in losing a large number of users on a platform. A great example of this is Microsoft's acquisition of Github last year. I will elaborate more on this in the next post. Thank you again for taking the time to read the first post here at the Fleur Technologies blog.
